“We need to seriously think about how people with disabilities are treated in our country,” said Bathabile Dlamini, social development minister. The month of November will see the Department of Social Development talk to South Africans about the many challenges people with disabilities face in their daily lives. “We need to make a change in our areas of influence – homes, churches, shops, restaurants, businesses, workplace, and public service points – to accommodate people with disabilities,” said Dlamini.
