APS Therapy

The clinic also offers the services of an APS therapy machine. APS is used to alleviate the pain of arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, fibrosis, sports injuries, back pain and other numerous ailments including cancer pain.

The APS machine works by stimulating the body's natural nerve impulses, these nerves are called Action Potentials and are the nerves responsible for healing the body where pain occurs. By enhancing these nerves the body can be healed more quickly.
The stimulation of these Action Potentials allows for pain relief and the breakdown of inflammation which helps to increase the mobility of the joints improve blood circulation and control pain. The machine also helps to limit tissue damage and scaring when used on an injury.

The APS machine is also used to help stimulate the circulation of diabetic amputees who face the risk of further amputation due to poor circulation in the lower limbs; to try and alleviate the shoulder pain of stroke patients and to reduce pain caused by knee and hip replacements. Sufferers of arthritis are another group treated.
