How it all began...

Our Rich History

In 1952, a remarkable journey began when Kerry Malt, a disabled journalist, founded Saint Giles with a vision to provide care and support to the disabled. From its early days of visiting the sick in hospitals and private homes, Saint Giles evolved into a comprehensive organisation offering a wide range of services for the disabled community. Our commitment to uplifting lives remains unwavering, and our legacy continues to grow.

Now located at the corner of Bell and Prince Streets in Durban since 1962, we have served countless individuals over the years, fostering independence, dignity, and empowerment for those we serve.
