Saint Giles bursary scheme

The Saint Giles Educational Trust was established to provide bursaries for disabled persons with effect from the 2006 academic year.

Bursaries are awarded for secondary as well as for tertiary education. FET and University bursaries are only awarded from the second year of study.

Applicants for bursaries must be attending a secondary or tertiary institution within the Durban Metropolitan Unicity recognized by the Trustees

Eligibility:
    Persons:

  • who are affected by a condition that markedly restricts their ability to function physically, mentally or socially
  • for whom training could solve the problem of finding suitable employment
  • who have insufficient funds for studying
  • who are older than 16 years of age
  • who are residents of the Durban Metropolitan Unicity
Closing Date:

Completed application forms must be returned by either the end of July in the year preceding the year for which funding is required. Applications which are incomplete or incorrectly filled in will not be considered.
