Bequest Programme

A Bequest Commitment

A bequest to Saint Giles is an extremely valuable way in which you can assist us to continue to provide service and support to disabled people. We remain committed to this continuity by ensuring our sustainability going forward

Making a Bequest

A bequest is a reflection of your desire to make a gift of money or assets to a particular person/s or organisation/s after your death

Once you have provided for the people closest to you, it may be a particular desire of yours to provide for a bequest to a non-profit organisation such as SAINT GILES. Such a bequest could take various forms:

  • A specified sum of money
  • Specific items of value
  • A percentage of your estate
  • The residue of your estate
  • The proceeds of a life insurance policy

Bequests to Saint Giles

Saint Giles is registered with SARS as a public benefit organisation (PBO 130000783). Therefore, the value of any bequest made to SAINT GILES is deducted from the value of your estate before estate duty is calculated

We would prefer that any bequest is made to our SAINT GILES organisation in general, rather than for a specific purpose. This would allow us the freedom to use the funds where they are particularly necessary at that time

It is important that any bequest to us is made in our registered name which is:
Saint Giles Organisation For The Disabled (RF) NPC – Trading as: Saint Giles
Company Registration No: 2000/009990/08
